Our Vision for the Future

The Board of Directors for the Postperfusion Syndrome Society plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and governance of our organization. Comprised of accomplished professionals and individuals directly impacted by Postperfusion Syndrome, our board fosters innovation, oversees operations, ensures accountability, and upholds fiduciary responsibility in fulfilling our mission.

Each director brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, contributing to the overall success and impact of our organization.

Enhancing User Experience

Members of the Board of Directors play a crucial role in enhancing the user experience for our community members. They provide valuable insights and feedback on organizational strategies, program development, and resource allocation, ensuring that our initiatives are responsive to the evolving needs of those impacted by Postperfusion Syndrome.

Advocacy and Collaboration

Our board serves as ambassadors for our organization, advocating for the needs and interests of individuals affected by Postperfusion Syndrome within the broader community. Directors may engage in advocacy efforts, strategic partnerships, and collaborative initiatives to raise awareness, drive policy change, and promote greater understanding and support for Postperfusion Syndrome.

Who We Seek

We are currently seeking passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors, which will consist of no more than 12 individuals, including nine professionals and three surviving Postperfusion Syndrome sufferers who are far enough along in their management to comfortably contribute. Our ideal candidates encompass a diverse range of expertise, including nonprofit administration, healthcare management, finance, legal affairs, fundraising, marketing, and advocacy. Each board member will be expected to contribute their expertise and experience to advance the mission of the Postperfusion Syndrome Society by participating in regular meetings, providing guidance on strategic initiatives, and actively supporting fundraising and advocacy efforts. Together, our Board of Directors will play a vital role in shaping the future of our organization and improving the lives of individuals affected by Postperfusion Syndrome. 

  • Development Professionals: Individuals with experience in fundraising, donor relations, and grant writing. They will lead efforts to secure funding for our programs and initiatives, ensuring our organization's financial sustainability.

  • Nonprofit Administration Experts: Professionals with a strong understanding of nonprofit governance, operations, and compliance. They will provide oversight and strategic direction to ensure the efficient functioning of our organization.

  • Medical Professionals: Experts in cardiology, pulmonology, psychology, anesthesiology, and other relevant disciplines. They will serve as advisors on treatment protocols, research initiatives, and patient care strategies.

  • Legal Advisors: Attorneys with expertise in nonprofit law, compliance, and risk management. They will ensure that our organization operates within legal and ethical guidelines, protecting the interests of our community members.

  • Marketing and Communications Specialists: Professionals with skills in branding, digital marketing, and public relations. They will help raise awareness about Postperfusion Syndrome, expand our reach, and engage stakeholders.

  • Advocacy and Policy Experts: Individuals with experience in healthcare policy, advocacy, and public affairs. They will advocate for policy changes that benefit individuals affected by Postperfusion Syndrome and promote understanding within the broader community.

  • Survivor Representatives: Individuals who have personally experienced Postperfusion Syndrome and can provide firsthand insights into the challenges faced by patients. They will ensure that our organization remains focused on meeting the needs of those we serve.​
